Speech Language Pathologist

Assesses and identifies speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Administers treatment for these disorders and offers training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals. Collaborates with professionals from various disciplines.

 

Required Education: A Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, licensure in at least one state, and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Occupational Therapist

Creates and executes customized occupational therapy plans to help patients develop, recover, or sustain their capability to perform everyday tasks. Educates patients on strategies, skills, and the utilization of adaptive equipment for activity participation.

 

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, a current and valid license in at least one state, and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Physical Therapist

Charged with assessing the needs of referred patients and developing treatment plans. Delivers therapy services as outlined in these plans, collaborates with physicians, case managers, and adjusters, and may oversee physical therapy assistants.

 

Required Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, a current valid license in at least one state, and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Occupational Therapist Assistant

Functional Role: Supports an occupational therapist in rehabilitation activities for patients with developmental, physical, and emotional impairments. Prepares equipment for treatment and may undertake administrative tasks.
 

Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, a current valid license in at least one state, and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Physical Therapist Assistant

Designs and implements personalized occupational therapy programs aimed at assisting patients in developing, regaining, or maintaining their ability to carry out daily activities. Instructs patients in skills and techniques and the use of adaptive aids for engaging in activities.

Required Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy, a current valid license in at least one state, and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Licensed Medical Social Worker

Provide patients, families, and groups with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. services include advising family caregivers, providing patient education and counseling, and making referrals for other services.
 

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. current valid license in at least one state, BCLS, ACLS, PALS NRP
